Goes Well With Coffee: Elad Lassry

Thursday sounds like:
The Cure - Just Like Heaven

1. Untitled (Man, Strainer), 2013 / 2. Untitled (Red Cabbage 1), 2008
3. Woman (Camera), 2010
4. Chilean Flamingo, 2007 / 5.Untitled (Boot), 2013
6. Woman, Man, 2010
7. Untitled (Strawberry, Kids), 2013 / 8. Untitled (Poles), 2010

Good morning! Hope it's a good one! :)

I feel intrigued, lied to, confused and yet mesmerized by Elad Lassry's work.
It makes me feel a little bit claustrophobic because everything is within boxes and frames.
But that pleated silk, bright colours, hidden action, collages, vintage photos mixed with his own artwork makes me feel a little bit like I'm reading a story as well. Story that nobody but Elad Lassry knows. And it continues.
Lassry is a visual artist who lives in Los Angeles and is represented by White Cube in London.
See more of his work here or attend first possible Frieze Art Fair. That's exactly where not that long ago I had a chance to discover this and many more outstanding artists.

Oh wow. That's a lot of words for a cup of coffee, right? Gee, so emotional women can be...
No, but seriously, it's beautiful.

Have a nice day.
Kisses,
Karolion.

Goes well with Coffee: Random Choices

1. Girl - Lips (Mario Basanov Vocal Remake)

2. Bombay Bicycle Club - Lights Out, Words Gone

3. Sebastien Tellier - La Ritournelle

It's snowing/raining/snowing here again this morning. Not sure if I should keep ignoring this a la winter or should I actually go try and find my Wellies somewhere in the back of my wardrobe.
While choosing today's outfit and drinking my morning coffee, this Monday I'm listening to these.
Hope your playlist makes you feel like you're in a movie and your perfect background is playing too. Because I do believe you are worth feeling like you're in one.

Have a beautiful Monday.
Kisses, KL.

Goes well with Coffee - Abuse It

Last week of university got in my way.
As much as I'm in a mood for some quality writing, it's been 6 cups of coffee so far and I'm still stuck in Sunday.
Thank God for Thibaut Berland (a.k.a Breakbot) and his Dane On Glass mix.
Abused it as I abused my coffee.

Let's do some university work for the last week this year and then let ourselves dance in front of our mirrors while listening to some bad ass music.

Off to some more coffee.
Hope to reach you soon.
Kisses and beauties and beats,
Karolion.

Goes well with Coffee - Jasmine Kennedy

With cold making its first kicks and with my cheeks blushing twice as they normally do, I realize that one of my favorite times in a year has come.
Time for good books and woolen blankets. Time for allowing yourself eat ginger cookies and drink more tea than usually.
Regardless of time, there is no moment in my life without suitable music.
To me, winter is probably the coziest and simplest, in a charming way, season. That's why my choice of music for this week is a simple perfection.
Jasmine Kennedy is a 19 year old (soon to be 20) from Batley. She writes songs and tells jokes as her official page says :)
From the minute I heard her singing her heart out, I couldn't stop.

So now I'm sharing my beautiful, charming discovery with you.

Have a warm week!
Yours,
KL.

Goes well with Coffee - Disclosure

Good morning!
I hope all of you had a great and productive time last week.
I sure did and you will see some of the results very soon in this blog. Although my hands were full, the inspiration and motivation were missing. But it is a good thing I read magazines, because sometimes littlest sentences like "I'd often give full-on monologues to the cat whilst wearing my mother's dresses with lipstick tattoos all over my face."can make you feel joyful again.
So here I am, suggesting my this week's Goes well with Coffee choice.

You know those times when on Youtube you check the video only because of the image (yes, girls do that too)? Well this is probably the shortest way to tell you how 4 months ago I discovered Disclosure.
Disclosure are two brothers from United Kingdom who create house, future music. My first ever listened song by Disclosure was Tenderly, but today they're quickly rising with their first single for Universal Records "Latch" in which you can hear the voice of Sam Smith.
Enjoy your coffee, enjoy Disclosure.

Let you last sip be for sunny Mondays and good music.
Kiss you,
KaroLion.

Goes well with Coffee - Majestic Casual

Whenever you're scrolling down through Facebook or YouTube pages searching for a perfect music, that would help you feel relaxed, put you on a party mood or just would be there as a lovely background, what do you end up doing? Messaging your friends, asking them to send some great links or bands suggestions? Searching for similar artists to ones that you already know and adore?

If none of those actions work, I advice you to visit this blog every Monday morning and discover music that associates with sparks and butterflies.

Monday is all about sounds, that go well with coffee.

This morning I'm sharing with you the miraculous Majestic Casual YouTube channel. Its founder is a young man from Germany. In early 2011 he would've never believed that by this time almost 60.000 people would be interested in music he loves and share.

Couldn't call myself curious, if I wouldn't have tried to contact the Majestic Casual founder. Although he prefers being in a shadow, he told me and KaroLion readers one thing: "I usually don't drink coffee, but when I do, I make sure it's sweet."

Sweet tunes, sweet coffee.

Explore Majestic Casual and I'm sure that these sound will be there as one of your friends, comforters and one of your magical inspirers.

Salute for beautiful mornings and coffee mustaches,
